Ocean Cruising Club
The only worldwide club for ocean sailors. Membership is earned by completing a qualifying ocean passage of at least 1,000 nautical miles. Founded in 1954, the OCC connects cruisers across the globe through local port officers, rallies, and a vibrant community of seasoned offshore sailors.

RNLI
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution saves lives at sea around the coasts of the UK, Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Founded in 1824 by Douglas resident Sir William Hillary after witnessing wrecks on the Manx coast. The IOM has four lifeboat stations: Douglas, Peel, Port St Mary, and Ramsey.

Sailing for the Disabled
An Isle of Man charity (est. 1984) providing sailing opportunities for people with disabilities aboard their specially adapted Beneteau Oceanis 48, Pride of Mann III. From £10/year membership, anyone can join as a sailing or non-sailing member. Awarded The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in 2006.

Lobular Breast Cancer UK
A UK charity (No. 1191402) dedicated to ensuring anyone diagnosed with Lobular Breast Cancer lives, and lives well. Founded by Claire Turner after her own diagnosis, LBCUK works to improve understanding, detection, and treatment of Lobular Breast Cancer - the second most common type of breast cancer, yet often harder to detect on standard mammograms. Andrea is one of the Trustees.
