Early start from Peel Bay to be at the entrance of Strangford Narrows at the right time to catch the last of the ingoing current. We did a whopping 12 knots over ground 🤪 Very calm sea but still spectacular eddies and whirlpools to see in the narrows while heading for Portaferry Marina. Bit of of a nerve-recking entry to the berth with the current pushing us all over the place in the wrong direction. The help of some friends ashore was most welcome and made it a very exciting but enjoyable experience even for us newbies. ☺️
